Plymouth College has published another great set of A Level results this morning.  One in eight pupils have achieved at least three A grades with more than a quarter securing AAB or better.  The pass rate remains strong at 98%.

Top performer was Emma Pearson with an impressive four A*s followed by Deputy Head Boy, Luke Dickinson, with one A* and three A grades.    Clarissa Hocking, Daniel Graaf and Oliver Foster all came away with one A* and two As.  Tom Daley added two A grades to the A* he achieved in Photography in 2011.

The A Level results come just over a month after the International Baccalaureate (IB) results, which saw an average point score of 32.5, the equivalent of  more than three A*s at A Level. Maddalena Ardissino, an elite swimming scholar who swims internationally for Italy, scored and incredible 43 IB points which is equivalent to four A* and 1 A grades at A Level.  Head Boy, Harry Cobbold, scored a very strong 38 points with five more students securing at least 32 points or more. The maximum point score in IB is 45.

"My warmest congratulations to all our students on their examination success", said Headmaster, Dr Simon Wormleighton.  "I am delighted to see such an excellent set of results and I would like to pass on my thanks to the teaching staff for their continued commitment and hard work, which has helped our students to reach such a high level of achievement.  We have a busy and vibrant sixth form community and it is extremely rewarding to see both our A level and IB students do so well. "
