Raffles, stalls and concert collections are just some of the ways Plymouth College Preparatory School has raised £949.47 for St Luke’s Hospice.
The fund-raising was the idea of Year 6 pupil, Finn Brooker, who wanted to raise the money in memory of his father. Finn presented the cheque to Nina Wearne from St Luke’s in Assembly. As well as collections after the Years 3 and 4 Concert, Years 5 and 6 Production and the Early Years Nativity, money was also made from the raffle of a hamper filled with chocolate and the sale of fairy decorations.
“St Luke’s is a local charity that has touched the lives of many in our community and I am delighted at how much we have been able to raise for such a worthy cause”, said Headmaster, Chris Gatherer. “Finn has done fantastically well. All his friends have been really keen to support him as have the whole school.”
