Mask-making, games and singing were just some of the fun activities undertaken by Year 6 when Sixth Form International Baccalaureate students from the Senior School hosted a Karneval day at Plymouth College Preparatory School.
Dressed in carnival costumes, the children celebrated the mid-winter festival with a mixture of learning and fun activities. As well as mask-making for a group finale, the children got to grips with the language through learning a traditional song and playing games. Much fun was had by all!
Head of MFL and German, Adam Carr, said: “It was a really fun day and a great way for the Year 6 pupils to be introduced to the language. Everyone, including the teachers, got into the spirit of this historical festival by dressing up and there were lots of prizes for the best masks and costumes.”
