Mask-making and singing were just some of the fun activities undertaken by Year 6 when German Karneval visited the Prep School.
Dressed in carnival costumes, the children celebrated the mid-winter festival with a mixture of learning and fun activities. As well as mask-making for a carnival-procession finale, the children got to grips with the language through learning a traditional song and learning a brief dialogue.
Head of MFL, Rachael Connor, said: “It was a really fun day and a great way for the Year 6 pupils to be introduced German.” Mr Carr was really impressed with the enthusiasm for a new language and Head Boy, Peter Walker was pleased to see some new linguists getting involved in all the activities.
